Aloha, and welcome to my page!

My name is Nash Witten, MD, FAAFP, FAWM. I am a Board-Certified Family Physician in my hometown of Hale’iwa, O’ahu, Hawai’i. I have also completed the requirements to become a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP) and the Academy of Wilderness Medicine (FAWM).

I completed my undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, medical school, and Family Medicine residency training at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. During medical school, I also completed the requirements to receive two of the Dean’s Certificates of Distinction, one in Native Hawaiian Health and another in Social Justice. In 2021, I also completed a Medical Education Fellowship at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM).

I currently provide primary care services in my hometown of Hale’iwa at the Queen’s Health Care Centers – Haleiwa. I am also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Native Hawaiian Health at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine. In addition to clinical medicine, I co-advise the Partnership for Social Medicine student interest group and advise the Wilderness Medicine Interest Group at JABSOM. I also co-teach NHH 575, Seminars in Social Medicine, each spring, and NHH 599 and 699, Directed Reading/Research.
